Today, let’s honor St. Monica as a devoted wife and mother. If you have any children, say a special prayer for them today. And by the way, maybe they would like to hear that you prayed for them. A quick phone call will do the trick if they’re grown and you don’t see them today.
Let’s also say a prayer for our mothers today. If your mother is still with you in this world, I’m sure she would be happy to hear that you said a prayer for her. Take some time to talk to her.
While we’re at it, this could be a good day to examine our busy schedules and find a 10-minute window each day to talk to our Lord.
