Wishing You a Blessed Advent

I just wanted to take a moment to wish everyone a blessed and restful season of Advent. I know, that might be too much to ask with all the pressures of the Holiday Season, but it is my wish!

As I am getting ready to move into Advent tomorrow, it occurs to me how many resources have been offered to me at all of the different Christian sources that I read now. So I thought I’d share some of them with you. Who knows, maybe there is something that you will want to try. Most of these sites have short preview videos you can watch.

  1. Best Advent Ever at Dynamic Catholic (found here): Signing up here means you get an email every morning with a short video devotional to help us prepare for Christ’s coming. There is usually some kind of prayer and call to action following each video. It’s probably a commitment of no more than 10 minutes a day, and I love it.
  2. Pray More Advent Retreat at praymorenovenas.org (found here): Signing up here allows you to download all the materials and use them at your own pace and on your own schedule. They include 16 audio and video presentations and 16 reflective study guides.
  3. Bearing Light Advent Devotional at blessedisshe.net (found here): This one isn’t free, but it’s an actual journal to use during Advent.
  4. CRS Advent Calendar from Catholic Relief Services (found here): This one says it includes “short, daily inspiration for busy people.”

I feel like I’m forgetting something, but these are the ones I remember right now. Again, have a blessed Advent Season!
